  • Cyndi's List of Genealogy Sites on the Internet claims to have more than 76,100 genealogical links, with 64,050 that are categorized & cross-referenced in over 120 categories.

  • Directory of Royal Genealogical Data is the work of Brian Tompsett, who has created the most complete genealogical source of European royal lineage that I have found (over 30,000 people).

  • Digitalarkivet gives you access to various historic census' in Norway. It is the work of the University of Bergen and the National Archives of Norway. It allows access in English.

  • Tore Nygaard's Genealogy contains detailed information about his personal ancestors, but is also an excellent site for those who lived in Europe during and before the middle ages. It is in Norwegian.

  • Heimskringla, a history of the Norse Kings was written in Old Norse in about 1225 A.D. by Snorri Sturluson. This is an English translation.
